If
you are anywhere near Northern California, you deserve to treat yourself to a trip to Happy Camp! This area is in the heart
of the Klamath National Forest, with the Klamath River running along your beautiful drive down Highway 96.
Once you arrive, Jean and Eddie will give you a tour of the Ranch and horses. You
can take a dip in the Creek and Jean might even show you how to pan for GOLD!! You could find enough to pay for
your gas and maybe even a horse!
Driving Interstate 5 from the south, the best way is to drop into Yreka (see explanation below!)
There are three off-ramps and the town is mostly to the west of the freeway. Main Street runs parallel to the
freeway. Head North on Main Street and it becomes Highway 263 and will head through a canyon and bring you to the Highway
96 intersection. Turn left and follow 96 along the Klamath to Happy Camp.
Driving Interstate 5 from the North,
take the Highway 96 offramp at the Collier Rest Area. Follow 96 but be careful to turn to the right at the bridge where 96
follows along the Klamath. Otherwise you'll be heading back up 263 toward Yreka!
We're about 3.5 miles north of
Parry's Market on Indian Creek Road -- call and we'll give you the easy directions to the ranch.
By the way --
did I say that it's really Beautiful here?!!
NOW, in 2010 we've moved to Yreka,
located just minutes off I-5. This will allow us quicker access to all of California and Oregon.
